Allison Fox

Allison was born February 8, 1983 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, daughter of Pete and Tammy Kraeger. Allison is a 2005 graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s of General Studies. While at Michigan, Allison was part of the U of M Women’s Cross Country and Track teams from 2001-2003 and active as a sports marketing intern through the athletic department.

Allison was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes following high school graduation at age 18. Through early trial and error, Allison learned to manage her diabetes while in college and became committed to keeping her body as healthy as possible for when there is a CURE! Following college graduation Allison has worked in the diabetes field in sales for Medtronic Diabetes (insulin pumps) and AgaMatrix (blood glucose meters). Allison has also been involved as a volunteer in the local JDRF Chapters in Ann Arbor, Indianapolis, Knoxville, Phoenix, Chicago and the Bay Area and was part of the recruiting committee for the 2010 ADA Tour de Cure in Phoenix.

Allison and Jake were married in 2006 and reside in Phoenix, Arizona with their yellow lab, Gus and are expecting their first child in early 2011.
